Case Study: Arrayent
The Challenge
Arrayent is a Bay Area engineering and design company founded in 2002 that produces embedded software consumer electronics that connect to the Internet. The company develops products that provide wireless, gateway, and server solutions to Internet-enabled products in home healthcare, control, fitness, and electronics markets in North America and Europe. The challenge was to tap into the usage and device data from traditional products that are not connected to the internet in order to enable mass-market consumer product companies to develop opportunities and channels for new and innovative products.
The Plan
Assemble a team of 16 software engineers who can design and build an interoperable end-to-end solution from device agents to cloud services to mobile app SDKs to IoT-enabled products and devices through smartphone and web apps. Resulting in a platform that masks the interoperability challenges of connecting multiple consumer brands to products that were not originally designed to be IoT connected.
The Solution
Multiplied engineers developed a low-cost gateway solution that allow customers to connect a wide range of products to value-added smartphone and web applications. By managing transactions between apps and devices in the cloud, the solution creates a unified connection that delivers more reliable services to be experienced by the user.
